Powerful gemstones creatively designed into "Power Necklaces" and accessories
2010 is the year of "Turquoise". The fashion powers have made their choice - partly because of our
economic conditions. Turquoise reminds us of far off places and gives us a sense of security....It
is versatile, universally complimentary and can be worn with most colors!Turquoise is much more though! Have you ever wondered why you were attracted to a certain stone or gem? Turquoise is the truth stone symbolizing a time to be truthful and honest with yourself. It is a reminder to share your vision and "walk your talk". It attunes the physical, aligns the chakras creating a clear channel for creative energy. Blue balances the throat chakra... Blue is the overwhelming "favourite color". It is seen as trustworthy, dependable and committed. The color of the sky and the ocean, blue is perceived as a constant in our lives. Turquoise protects and blesses the user, enhances communication skills, opens the heart for giving and receiving, absorbs negative energy, is a grounding and healing stone, strengthens and calms the mind and body as well as bringing wisdom. It is no wonder it is the color and stone for 2010.... Turquoise can vary from the greenish hues to various forms of blue. Turquoise is also being dyed with prominent colors like oranges, reds, yellows, purple and pinks. I like to think you can dress it up or dress it down. Wear turquoise as a bold statement for evening wear or put on the blue jeans and feel great while accessorizing with turquoise!

I like to use turquoise with silver and sometimes other stones such as carnelian, fire agate, black onyx, coral and silver. All of the pendants are hand crafted. I like to use pendants that are handcrafted by Nepalese artisans. I think it is important to help support these people and their workmanship is quality. I also believe that the energy from Nepal is carried forth in each one of these unique pendants!
Orange and yellow/golden turquoise has a vibrant life unto itself. It is fun designing with these colors. They are
playful, energetic and hold some of the same qualities as "blue turquoise".Orange: Promotes creativity, joy, enthusiasm and a general sense of wellness Yellow: Shines with optimism, enlightenment and happiness. Shades of golden yellow carry the promise of a positive future as well as sparking creative thoughts
Red coral/turquoise and onyx are classy together, add in some larger silver components and WOW!Red: It has more personal associations than any other color. Recognized as a stimulant, red is inherently exciting and the amount of red is directly related to the level of energy perceived. It draws attention and a keen use of red as an accent can immediately focus attention on a particular element Red turquoise, fire agate and "ammolite" a rare and valuable opal-like organic gemstone found on the Blood Reserve in Alberta. Ammolite - Is only found in one part of the world; an area called the Bearspaw formation that extends through southern Alberta and into Montana. While Ammonites existed all over the world, it was the oil and mineral deposits in Alberta soil that preserved the magnificent gem colors we see today. There is a distinct difference between Ammonites and Ammolite. An Ammonite is the creature, Ammolite is the gem. Ammolite is a fairly recent gemstone, one of only three precious gemstones declared in the past 50 years. It was declared a gemstone in 1981, and it was given precious gemstone status in 2004.
Earth colors are for everyone in every moment! The colors used are shades of brown, green, taupe/tan with expressive stones such as "Picasso, poppy, yellow and ocean jasper", "carnelian, crazy lace, Brazilian and ethnic agate". I use a lot of double strands with these stones as well as larger silver focal beads. You will want to wear these all the time.....
These are my "medicine women" power necklaces. The pendants are artisan hand carved ox bone with the faces of women intertwined with animals. The medicine cards can give you a good understanding of the spiritual power of these animals! ( www.jamiesams.com) If you have a favourite or special connection with buffalo, horse, hummingbird, owl, mountain lion, snake, eagle or hawk - let me design that special "power necklace" for you.... "Buffalo" - Prayer and abundance, it is medicine in knowing that abundance is present when all relations are honoured as sacred and when gratitude is expressed to every living part of creation "Horse" - Power is the wisdom in remembering your total journey. Compassion, caring, teaching, loving and sharing your gifts, talents and abilities are the gateways to power "Hummingbird" - Joy, ( I had a hummingbird land on my head in Prescott, Arizona, and I have felt simply connected to this beautiful fast flying wizard ever since) if this is your personal medicine, you love life and its joys. Your presence brings joy to others. You join people together in relationships which bring out the best in them. You know instinctively where beauty abides and, near or far, you journey to your ideal "Owl" - Deception, it is associated with clairvoyance. It is a symbol for wisdom because Owl can see that which others cannot, which is the essence of true wisdom. Where others are deceived, Owl sees and knows what is there "Mountain Lion" - Leadership, it involves lessons on the use of power in leadership. It is the ability to lead without insisting that others follow. It is the understanding that all beings are potential leaders in their own way "Snake" - Transmutation, it teaches you on a personal level that you are a universal being. Through accepting all aspects of your life, you can bring about the transmutation of the fire medicine. This fire energy, when functioning on the material plane, creates passion, desire, procreation and physical vitality. On the emotional plane, it becomes ambition, creation, resolution and dreams. On the mental plane it becomes intellect, power, charisma and leadership. When it reaches the spiritual plane, it becomes wisdom, understanding, wholeness and connection to the Great Spirit "Eagle" - Spirit, the connection to the Divine. The ability to live in the realm of spirit and yet remain connected and balanced within the realm of Earth "Hawk" - Messenger, this medicine teaches you to be observant, to look at your surroundings, observe the obvious in everything that you do. Messages that the Hawk brings can help you overcome a currently stressful or difficult situation

Chakras - Bracelets Chakras are the sacred centers within that carry us on our journey toward greater awareness and aliveness. As the architecture of the soul, they provide an important map for our wholeness and transformation, both personally and globally. As an ancient spiritual system, they show the path to enlightenment and integration. Colour Therapy uses colour to re-balance the Chakras that have become depleted of energy. Colour therapy can be shown to help on a physical level; however there are deeper issues around the colours on the psychological and spiritual levels. Colour has a profound effect on us on all levels, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. ![]() Chakra Seven: Sahasrara - Color Violet - Crown Thought, Universal identity, oriented to self-knowledge This is the crown chakra that relates to consciousness as pure awareness.
